Note:Ellis Park does race this Friday. However, the track does not have live racing this Saturday, Sept. 2, to accommodate the opening of Kentucky Downs.  Ellis will be open for simulcasting, as always. Ellis’ 2017 live meet resumes Sunday, Sept. 3 and concludes Monday, Sept. 4 (Labor Day).

#5 E. M. Maximus – What you see is what you get and today it might be good enough.

#6 Teletap – Back quick after troubled run on turf; looks like a standout with these.

#3 Precocious Moon – His dam was a G2 winner; could be a sneaky good debuter.

#5 His Royal Majesty – Deep closer begs for hot pace; most likely too little, too late.

#9 Dusty – Excuses for last two; could bounce back in a big way for this one.

#4 Cowboy Quinn – Turf route to dirt sprint; must consider in gimmick equation.

#6 Illusion’s Rule – Ran big off the bench two back and most recent run is a toss-out.
