HBPA College Day
Kentucky HBPA College Day returns to Ellis Park on Sunday July 31 with more and better prizes for students enrolled full-time in post-high school educational programs.
In partnership with Ellis Park, the Kentucky HBPA will give out nine $1,000 scholarships and, in a separate set of drawings, nine iPads with AirPods included. There also will be drawings for gift cards.
The first 300 students to register for the drawings will get a free ball cap commemorating Ellis Park’s 100th year and College Day.
“You could say that we’ve graduated to the next level in developing HBPA College Day into an event that college students — and their parents — look forward to in the Tri-State area,” said Kentucky HBPA Executive Director Marty Maline. “We know from meeting these students that many are coming to the races for the first time. Ellis Park is the perfect fun, affordable and family environment that we think will make them want to come back.”
“We’re proud to partner with our horsemen on this popular promotion,” said Ellis Park Director of Marketing Allie Sclafani. “To make a horse-racing fan, you first need to get them in the door. We look at HBPA College Day as an investment in the future and wanted to kick it up a notch this year. And, being RUNHAPPY Dollar Day, it’s a great time to bring out the whole family.”
