Ellis Park Gearing Up For Ellis Park Derby Amidst Another Stakes Weekend

HENDERSON, KY (Thursday, August 12, 2021) — Ellis Park Racing and Gaming is set for another big weekend of racing and excitement. The weekend begins on Saturday, August 14th, as iconic trainer D. Wayne Lukas and racing stalwart Dale Romans will be participating in a meet-and-greet in the Ellis Park Beer Garden where they will interview each other, tell stories about their experiences and answer any questions in the audience. The two will make
themselves available for photographs and autographs after the scheduled event.

Sunday, August 15th, brings on a jam-packed day with stakes racing that includes the Audubon Oaks, the Groupie Doll, the Ellis Park Juvenile, Ellis Park Debutante, and finally the $200,000 Ellis Park Derby.

In celebration of the Ellis Park Derby, Ellis Park Racing and Gaming will be hosting a “Talk Derby To Me” party at which guests are invited to wear their best derby attire — big hats, crazy socks, etc.
