#8 Noble Anna – minimum win betting odds 5/2
#5 Claudia Jean – minimum win betting odds 3/1
Box 5,6,8,9 (#6 is Tootsie, who returns from six months off at a mile and who may be a bit short of 100% fit, #9 is Unapologetic Me, who finished third off a nine month layoff on August 4 and who can improve).
IF the race moves to dirt because of weather, add #10 Caroline Lois as a win contender with minimum win betting odds of 3/1, and use Caroline Lois in an exacta box with the other contenders.
Noble Anna moves back to turf (hopefully) after two races in a row which were scheduled for turf but moved to the main track. She didn’t run badly in either, finishing second and beaten just a half-length on July 2 then finishing third on July 23. The better of the two efforts came with Landeros riding, who rides today, and more importantly who rode the filly to her only win. That win, in May, came on the turf so back on the grass and reunited with a jockey who can motivate the filly for her best, Noble Anna can win.
===Claudia Jean races in a claiming race for the first time and that could help her improve off her third of nine finish in her most recent start in mid-June. She showed talent when finishing second in her North American debut last December after coming in from Ireland and repeated that promise when easily winning two races later this past February. If she can repeat either of those efforts she should have a big say in the outcome.
