Race 6 and Race 7

---

Race 6

Win contenders with minimum (fair) odds for considering win bets:
#3 Famed– minimum win betting odds 2 to 1
#8 Fine Family – minimum win betting odds 5 to 2
#5 Cancel This – minimum win betting odds 3 to 1

Exactas: Box 3, 5, 8

Famed is one of three exceptionally well bred fillies who have bright futures ahead of them as they are just
three years old. This one is a half-sister to champion Essential Quality who won by nearly eight lengths last fall
in only the second start of her career but who is winless in three races since. The most recent of those came in
June after five months off where she finished third of 10 in a highly rated race at Churchill Downs and so we
can expect much better second off the layoff. Even though she did finish third she earned the BEST last race
Equibase figure (92) in the field and that race turned out to be a KEY (productive) race from which the second,
fifth and ninth place finishers all returned from to win their next starts.

Fine Family is the fifth foal of her dam and won in her only start, last October. The dam’s other foals have
seven dirt sprint wins between them and as a more mature three year old this gal certainly may have what it
takes to win fresh as she did last October.

Cancel This finished well from fifth to second, beaten under a lengths, here at Ellis Park four weeks ago. She
takes a hidden drop in class from three year olds and upward to just three year olds and the 90 figure she
earned is close enough to the 92 figure Famed earned in her last start to make it so Cancel This must be
respected as a contender to win this race as well.

Race 7

Win contenders with minimum (fair) odds for considering win bets:
#9 Indicia – minimum win betting odds 5 to 2
#8 Honey Run – minimum win betting odds 5 to 2
#2 Chione – minimum win betting odds 7 to 2

Exactas: Box 2, 8, 9
Box 2, 5, 8, 9 (#5 is Gianna’s Gift, entering the race off a runner-up effort at Belterra Park on dirt who has won
on turf previously).

Indicia looks to have been a very sharp claim by veteran trainer Reavis, who took her for 20K in June out of a
runner-up effort on turf then won with her here at Ellis Park at this mile turf trip one month later. The dirt race
last out on 8/6 is irrelevant and returning to the Ellis Park turf and reunited with Emigh, who ride her to the local
win, the mare looks set to repeat her winning effort from five weeks ago on 7/23.
Honey Run could prove to be a great claim for Hartman, who took her out of a winning effort on the dirt at this
mile trop at the end of June at Churchill Downs. She’s still eligible for the allowance condition so could get the
owners $36K and still remain in their hands to win even more. She has won on turf and has won back-to-back

so coming off that win last time out has a big shot for a trainer which wins with nearly 30% of his new
acquisitions.
Chione tried turf for the first time in February and was favored at 9 to 5 in a straight maiden race, making the
lead in the stretch and settling for second. She stayed in an off-turf race when she was next seen in May and
won easily, then finished fifth in a tough 12 horse field at the level at Churchill Downs on the grass last month.
She was ONLY beaten two lengths in that race and continues to improve so her third start off the layoff could
be her best yet and that’s why she rounds out the trio of win contenders.
